January 2015-November 2016Contractor of SNF programs and interface with HMO’s.  Developed the acute psych program for nursing homes.  Developed acute medical program.  Worked with C.O.O. and Medical Director to ensure program viability and payment structure.  Wrote behavioral programs, medical programs, and addendum contract.  Interfaced with their Medical team and support staff on discharging from nursing homes, systems, communications, and billing procedures.  Worked on transportation issues and community support networks for discharged residents.

 

ADMINISTRATOR   SUNRISE CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL
Jan.2010 – March 2015 (This facility sold, I left March-2015)

This 99 bed facility had 12 beds allocated to ICF, with a history of custodial care.  Removed the ICF beds, developed in-house rehabilitation department and educated business office, MDS, and nursing on skilled care.  Developed Managed Care Contracts, Medicare Skilled, and limited custodial care.  In first year went from 2 stars to 3 with excellent surveys.  Developed P & P’s, implemented nursing systems, and developed training programs.

2010 for 6 months worked as Director of Business Development after returning back to Los Angeles.

2006 –2008

This facility (204 beds) had some issues with Department of Health, we eradicated those issues.  Developed P & P’s, Developed nursing systems and worked in training staff.  Successful skilled population with 45 to 55 Medicare and 20 to 30 Managed Care Skilled.  Good Surveys.

2004 –2006  (Worked as administrator for 16 mos.)

This 181 bed facility needed quality mix adjustment. Averaged 38 Medicare Skilled and had successful Managed Care Skilled.  Good surveys.

Interim Administrator Northridge Care Center – Longwood Corp.

Worked in this 99 bed for several months.  Then worked with the Corporate office on a contracting marketing basis.

Worked in Marketing for these facilities developing physician interest, acute liaison, and developing census and quality mix.

Did my A.I.T. here at this 204 bed facility.  This was owned by Crescent Healthcare that stopped operating at the beginning of 2002.  After A.I.T. Crescent brought me to Yucca Valley where I marketed both a SNF and Assisted Living while I began studying for my exams.
